Geoboards

Geo-boards are always the highlight of math each year. Students were given time to just play around with them and make designs using the rubber bands prior to making shapes and finding the area of figures. The students really know how to find area!!

Edible Life Cycles

Students made edible life cycles to show their understanding of the various stages. It was a very hands on way to check for understanding to make sure they understood the order.

Butterflies!

Students observed the life cycle of a butterfly. It was so fun when they actually saw them emerge from the pupa stage into butterflies. It couldn't have been more perfect timing. Since butterflies don't live very long we only could enjoy them for a few days and then we had to let them free. One however, was not so willing to leave so soon so we held on to it a little bit longer. The kids loved watching them fly free!
